Byrne debuts at SABIC Conference 2020
Byrne Equipment Rental is making its debut appearance at this month’s Sabic conference 2020 in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, to showcase its prowess in rental equipment segment.
At the conference, Byrne will be showcasing its fleet of oil and gas equipment including hoist and access, hoist and mast climbers, scissor lifts, boomlifts and most notably powered access, of which it will have one unit physically at the stand, in addition to forklifts, climate control, DNV2.7-1 containers, welfare facilities and more.
About the event, Stuart Neilson, Regional General Manager for Saudi Aarabia, Kuwait, Bahrain tells Abdulaziz Khattak of OGN: "Sabic Conference 2020 provides us with an opportunity to showcase our innovative range of products and services that will enable them to operate more efficiently and more safely. It will also provide a platform to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders."
A leading supplier of rental equipment across the GCC, the company’s strength lies in its ability to constantly adapt product lines to meet the needs of the market.
Byrne has designed and manufactured equipment for use in Saudi Arabia’s growing events segment. These take into account the need for quick deployment and high mobility as well as the need to be aesthetically pleasing and highly durable.
Neilson says: "We work with our OEM partners to develop leading-edge equipment modifications. This includes our recently introduced range of powered access platforms with advanced safety features and telemetrics for remote monitoring."
For Byrne in Saudi Arabia, the core business is oil and gas and infrastructure projects and events. In this context, major oil and gas projects such as Marjan, Safaniya and Haradh/Hawiya will continue to be high priorities for the company.
Major infrastructure projects arising from Vision 2030 are also on Byrne’s radar, Neilson says. Neom, Red Sea Development and Qiddaya are just a few of those currently in the headlines, he adds.
Byrne has dominated the events sector in the last two years and sees the trend of an increasing number of high-profile events continuing in the next few years. "Byrne will be there to contribute to their success," Neilson says.
The company will continue to strive to be the market leader in providing industrial equipment rental solutions.
Neilson says Byrne will continue to invest in its equipment fleet, organisation and in its commitment to customers, especiall Sabic and other plant operators in the Royal Commission as well as their contractors in Jubail and Yanbu.
"Our objectives will be based around retaining our position as the most preferred equipment rental supplier by our customers and increasing profitable market share by getting closer to our key accounts," he adds.
Byrne recently introduced a range of oil and gas products tailored to the needs of its offshore clients for their major projects awarded recently.
Byrne has worked on many of Saudi Arabia’s largest projects in recent years including Fadhilli, Haradh/Hawiya Gas Plants, and the Aramco Maritime Complex, where it has provided a wide range of both short- and long-term mechanical equipment and temporary facilities rental solutions.
Elsewhere in the region, it has worked on major regional projects, such as the Bapco Refinery Expansion in Bahrain and New Refinery Project in Kuwait.
Commenting on business, Neilson says the last three years have been challenging, adding projects have been reduced; the competition has been intense and liquidity has reduced.
Despite that, he sees a promising future for Byrne as a number of projects are now moving ahead, and major infrastructure projects are coming close to execution, while new sectors are emerging as a result of Vision 2030. "We expect 2020-23 to be years of growth," he remarks.
Established in the early 1990s, Byrne Equipment Rental has corporate offices in Dubai and Jeddah and 20 operational bases across the GCC, a fleet of over 14,000 items of plant and a team of over 1,500 people.
The sectors Byrne serves are many, including but not limited to upstream, midstream and downstream sectors in the oil and gas industry, construction and infrastructure, events, industrial and manufacturing, retail and commercial and marine and ports throughout the GCC.
Byrne’s equipment range is manufactured and certified in accordance with the highest industry standards and includes power generation, cargo containers, welding equipment, hoist and access sanitation, climate control, material handling, temporary buildings, mobile lighting, air and steam.
Byrne Equipment Rental will be exhibiting at Stand B20 at Sabic Conference 2020.
