Inflatable habitats are unique and innovative structures that have been developed as a means of providing an instant, safe environment and cost effective protection when working in harsh outdoor conditions.
Inflatable habitats provide excellent encapsulation to protect personnel and equipment, especially where exposure to high temperatures and UV sunlight is concerned.
The appeal of the design is that the entire structure of the habitat is made of fabric. This means that compared to a semi-rigid frame structure it is virtually impossible to damage, whatever the habitat is being used to encapsulate.
The habitat works using a fan that blows air through a series of interconnected fabric tubes. The tubes, which are pressurised to a level slightly higher than ambient pressure, form the framework of the habitat. They are designed to be easily transportable and can be inflated by two operatives in less than five minutes.
